Deal extended into eighth seasonThe Royals are delighted to announce that Waitrose have signed a new agreement to continue their partnership with the club into an eighth season.
Waitrose’s name will be displayed on the back of our new 2015/16 home shirt - which was unveiled earlier today - and the deal sees the extension of a very successful working relationship that first began in 2008.
The Royals are extremely proud to have been working with a brand of Waitrose’s stature for so many years, indeed their name will now be on our shirt for longer than any other sponsor.
Adam Benson, Head of Commercial Sales at Reading Football Club, said, “We would like to place on record our sincere thanks for all the support Waitrose have given the club over the last seven seasons as our shirt sponsor.
“It has been a great privilege working alongside them and everyone at Reading is looking forward to them remaining a club partner for many years to come.”
Waitrose Director of Marketing, Rupert Thomas, added, "We are proud to support such a community driven football club and are already looking forward to the new season. The new deal continues our seven-year association and will give our brand further exposure at both a local and national level."
The Royals have already announced two new sponsorship agreements this summer – Carabao will be on the front of our home shirt, and Thai Airways on the front of our away shirt.
