In focus: Hector to cement his place?

17 July 2015

Semi-final berth awaits for winners

Michael Hector will be hoping to cement his place in a Gold Cup quarter final this weekend.

Hector and teammate Garath McCleary take on Haiti at 1am on Sunday morning, and both are likely to start in this vital game in Baltimore.

McCleary has begun all three games, scoring twice and producing another assist in some key performances for his nation.

And Hector got his chance in the final group game against El Salvador, and with Jermaine Taylor sadly ruled out through injury, Hector will be aiming to keep his place at the back.

If Jamaica progress, our players are set to be on international duty for another week, with a midweek semi-final and then either a third/fourth place final on Saturday 25th, or a final a day later.
