Orlando seeking Premier return

1 July 2015

Striker eager to make most of second opportunity

Orlando Sa has a Premier ambition and he is determined to return to England’s top flight with the Royals.

The 27-year-old had a brief stint in the Premier League with Fulham four years ago and, having since plied his trade across Europe, he is keen to return to the top tier of the English game.

“It is my ambition to get the club back to the Premier League and I feel very happy to have signed for Reading,” he said. “This is a good club and I hope that I can have a very successful time here.

“This is a second opportunity for me to show the people in England what I can do. Now I am a different player; more experienced and I know this football.

“I know it will be difficult but I am ready for this project at Reading. Since Fulham, I have experienced playing in different counties, in different teams with different mentalities and now I am ready for this challenge.”

Sa arrives in Berkshire having scored 32 goals in 48 games since 2012 and he wants to keep that run going come the start of the Championship season in August.

He said: “I hope that I am able to raise the spirits of everybody in the team and the club. I want to help this team.

“I want to train hard every day to be fit and healthy and we will see what I can do on the pitch. I hope that I score a few goals and I will always do my best. I can promise that I will work my hardest all of the time.”
