Club to hold further discussions
The Royals can provide an update to reports of a possible new development on the grounds surrounding Madejski Stadium.
Majority shareholder Narin Niruttinanon spoke at a packed press conference in Thailand today, and confirmed that the Royals are in the investigative stage for possible works.
As Khun Narin outlined to GetReading and the BBC, a number of different plans are being considered, and the Club are in discussions with Reading Borough Council about the best plan for the town and the Club. We will also consult with other local stakeholders as the process takes shape.
The Club’s shareholders have two aims with the project: to help make the football club a successful and sustainable business, and to help the town of Reading as it continues to go from strength to strength.
The Club will gladly share more details about this project in due course, and in addition we continue to move forward with our planned training ground development at Bearwood, now that the next stage of planning permission has been released.
