Strong squad for tonight’s game

21 July 2015

Clarke takes his Royals to Bristol tonight

Manager Steve Clarke will take a strong first team squad to Bristol Rovers this evening.

It is virtually the same squad that travelled to Tottenham this past weekend and was narrowly beaten in a good encounter at Spurs' training ground.

Squad: Ali Al-Habsi, Jonathan Bond, Chris Gunter, Jordan Obita, Niall Keown, Anton Ferdinand, Sean Long, Shane Griffin, Dominic Hyam, Danny Williams, Oliver Norwood, Stephen Quinn, Hope Akpan, Aaron Tshibola, Jake Taylor, Aaron Kuhl, Pavel Pogrebnyak, Nick Blackman, Tariqe Fosu, Dominic Samuel, Andrija Novakovich.

Hal Robson-Kanu picked up a knock in the Spurs game so won't be involved tonight, while the likes of Orlando Sa, Paul McShane, Simon Cox, Jake Cooper and Jack Stacey are working on their fitness so are not included. Michael Hector & Garath McCleary are of course away with Jamaica.

Our pre-season campaign is now well underway, and the squad trained at Hogwood this morning before setting off to Bristol.

Our next game is against Swansea at Wycombe on Friday night, followed by Crawley away on Monday and then Espanyol at Madejski Stadium on Saturday 1st August.
