Strikers target training liftStrikers Orlando Sa and Simon Cox are both aiming to step up their training this week.
Sa was with the team in Thailand but did not play in last Wednesday's friendly, while Cox remained in the UK to give him the best possible rehab on a hip injury.
Both players will be hopeful of taking their training to the next level as the Royals return to Hogwood Park with a full week of double sessions.
Sa told the BBC, "I come back in a few days, for sure. We have five weeks until the first game, so I am sure to be back 200%."
He has settled in well, continuing, "It's my first days here, the atmosphere and spirit in the team is really good. I'm feeling like a family here. Good spirit, people working hard, I am trying to take my physical with these guys, and in the first game, 8th of August, all the guys will be ready to show our quality and spirit on the pitch."
The trip saw plenty of training work, as well as team bonding, but fortunately for Orlando he managed to temporarily postpone singing his initiation song to the whole squad!
He joked, "I'm really bad! I think it's easier to play football. I promised to the guys I will prepare something special and different though. I think it's better in Portuguese but I will prepare something in English. It's part of it all."
Jake Cooper also missed the trip through injury, and so too winger Jack Stacey, and both are working to be back as soon as possible.
Garath McCleary and Michael Hector remain on international duty with Jamaica for the Gold Cup.
Thanks for ur messages, very disappointed to miss Thailand trip but best for my hip to get rehab back at the training ground. #URZ— Simon Cox (@SCoxy31Real) July 5, 2015
