Midfielder heads back to Vicarage RoadFormer Watford loanee Nathaniel Chalobah spoke to BBC Berkshire on Thursday about a return to Vicarage Road at the weekend. Read the interview below - and tune into the station from 6pm on Friday evening for a full preview show.
Good result against Brighton, what's your assessment of that performance?
It was a crucial game to win. Brighton are below us, it was good to get three points, eases a bit of pressure off us, but we'd still like to get a result this weekend.
Watford are one of your former clubs, did you enjoy your time there?
Oh yes, loved it, loved it. I'm still grateful to them, I've nothing against them, I had fun there, enjoyed it, had some good moments, some bad. But it was the first time I really had exposure so I really had a good time there.
They're in form, it'll be difficult.
They've got momentum, pushing for promotion, it won't be easy. It's a good club and I'm not surprised where they are at the moment.
You've played a few positions now, midfield, centre back, left back, which have you prefered?
Midfield. Why? It's where I started off, you've always got to be switched on, there's a lot going on around you. I like to go forward and get goals as well, those are the reasons but if the manager asks me to do a job I'll happily do it.
13 points buffer now in the League, FA Cup again Monday, important to go into that with peace of mind in the League.
Yes. We've got to take it one step at a time. Focus on the Watford game at the minute, then the cup on Monday. Tuesday's win was vital, but it's still not over, you never know so we've got to stay focused, hopefully get a result this weekend then look forward to Monday.
Watford is the immediate concern and everyone must also be excited about Monday.
Of course, the whole of Reading will look forward to that, not just us. Our fans, everyone, families, but as professionals we take it one at a time. We go from Watford and see how things go.
