Clarke's clear message: League is the priority

Boss looks to tonight's Brighton test

Royals Manager Steve Clarke has reiterated his clear message - the League is his priority.

We take on Brighton tonight at Madejski Stadium, kick off 8pm, and it is a vitally important game against an Albion side one point and one place below us in the table.

Clarke said, "The Championship is the priority, certainly until we get a points total that means we can relax a little bit. So Tuesday night is a massive game for us.

"Brighton are below us, we've not had the results we want at home recently so we have to make sure we're ready to go and get three points.

"The team will be ready. In the dressing room after Saturday I purposely didn't mention Brighton, because I left it to the players to do that - then suddenly they were talking about it among themselves.

"We need the same resolve and the same desire we showed Saturday, then hopefully a couple of goals."

Tickets for the game are on sale now and cheaper before 5pm - call 0118 968 1313 or go to www.readingfcdirect.co.uk to book.
