Boss gives injury updateRoyals boss Steve Clarke said that five players missed our game at Watford through injury, and he has more knocks to contend with as he picks a team to face Bradford on Monday night.
Speaking at his pre-match FA Cup press conference on Sunday morning, the boss said, "We had five missing at Watford, maybe two of them could have played injured - if pushed. But I'm not going to say who they are!
"And then we've got one or two knocks from the Watford game which will affect the shape of our squad for Bradford."
It was put to the boss that Reading are the bookmakers' tip for the match, but he countered, "That kind of thing doesn't matter in the FA Cup, you only have to see the results in this year's competition.
"I repeat, Bradford's win at Stamford Bridge was amazing. To go there and score four past the Champions elect, an unbelievable result, so we know what they're capable of away from home."
Asked about the role of the crowd in a massive cup game, Steve said, "I asked the supporters to come out in numbers, and they're going to do that.
"I'm sure they're going to get right behind the team, and if we perform on the pitch we can give them a good night.
"The cup run has been a bonus this year. We can't take our eye off the league but we are looking forward to the replay. If it's anything like the first tie it'll be a terrific game."
