Samuel strikes again!

24 March 2015

Loanee on target for Sky Blues

On Saturday 20-year-old loan striker Dominic Samuel scored his sixth goal for the Sky Blues since signing loan terms with Coventry City back in January.

Jim O'Brien set up Samuel in only the 5th minute of the match at the Ricoh Arena, the Royals striker firing low into the bottom corner past Doncaster keeper Stephen Bywater to hand the hosts the lead.

But Rovers came from behind to win the League One fixture 3-1 thanks to goals from Richie Wellens, Jonson Clarke-Harris and Harry Forrester.

Samuel had been on target for Tony Mowbray's men only days earlier, helping City secure a 2-0 away win at Fleetwood in midweek and he now has six goals to his name in a Sky Blues side that sit a point clear of danger in League One.

City next face a trip to play-off chasing Peterborough on Saturday and we will have updates from our other loanees on the official site later this week.
