Taylor joins Leyton Orient on loan

26 March 2015

Midfielder to be with Os until end of season

Midfielder Jake Taylor has this afternoon completed a loan move to Leyton Orient which will see him represent the League One side until the end of the 2014-15 season.

The 23-year-old Academy graduate has made 16(+20) appearances for the Royals since first making his debut in a League Cup clash with Northampton Town back in August 2010, scoring a total of three goals during that time.

Reading manager Steve Clarke said, “Whilst Jake has been a valuable member of the first team squad since I arrived in December he has not been playing regularly. He trains well every day and has a wonderful attitude to the game and his role within the squad. This short term loan to Leyton Orient will give him the opportunity to get some more time on the pitch which he deserves.”

Jake will now look to gain more first team experience in north-east London and is eligible to go straight into Fabio Liverani’s squad for a Brisbane Road clash with Port Vale this weekend.

Orient, who are currently three points adrift of safety, will be looking for a valuable victory on Saturday as they battle for their League One survival.
