14 March 2015

Stacey, Travner and Keown all earn full debuts

Steve Clarke has made a number of changes to his side ahead of this afternoon's Championship clash against high-flying Watford.

Defender Zat Knight makes his first appearance for the club, starting at the back after putting pen to paper with the club earlier this week.

Slovenian full back Jure Travner also makes his Royals bow, while Niall Keown and Jack Stacey earn their first starts for the club.

Simon Cox has been handed the captain's armband as he partners Yakubu up front, while Danny Guthrie and Jake Taylor come into midfield and Mikkel Andersen starts in goal.

On the bench, young US striker Andrija Novakovich is named as a substitute for the first time, joining Aaron Kuhl, Sean Long and club captain Jem Karacan amongst the substitutes.

Watford make three changes bringing in Pudil for the suspended Hoban, Motta for Ecudorian international Paredes, and Ekstrand for Angella. Ighalo misses out with a hamstring injury.
