Reading number 43 of 92in92Reading became the 43rd club to be visited by the RAF’s 5 Squadron when they arrived at Madejski Stadium in the early hours of this morning as part of their 92in92 fundraising project.
Squadron members Nick, Nigel and Steve are attempting to reach all 92 Football League clubs in 92 hours in order to raise money for Military charities.
Their journey began at Sunderland on Monday afternoon and since then they have travelled south, through the east of London and along the south coast. They arrived at Oxford United’s Kassam Stadium just before midnight yesterday and then embarked on the short journey across to Madejski Stadium.
Upon arrival, they were invited into the players’ tunnel before having a photo taken pitchside. The squadron allow themselves 10 minutes at each stadium to pose for a snap and to take in the surroundings.
After departing RG2, they headed east back towards London, with their next destination being Brentford’s Griffin Park.
The Squadron’s effort is supported by Vauxhall, the Royal Air Force Association and Help for Heroes, and fans can show their support by donating here.
