Youngster can top their end-of-season groupReading’s U18s take on Sunderland at Madejski Stadium tomorrow morning (11am) and fans can again come and watch the academy for FREE.
Over 500 supporters have turned out in recent weeks to watch the U21s’ two most recent fixtures – both of which they won to nil against Stoke City and Aston Villa.
The back-to-back victories ensured the U21s of promotion to Premier League Division One and, tomorrow morning, the U18s will top their end of season group if they avoid defeat against the Black Cats.
After finishing fifth in the Premier League South Group, the Royals were entered to play their end of season matches in Group 2, which pairs the four middle-placed clubs from the North and South league.
And, having beaten Derby County, Brighton & Hove Albion, Liverpool and West Ham United in recent weeks, David Dodds’ U18s lead the way in Group 2 and a point on tomorrow’s final day of the season will guarantee them top spot.
Sunderland sit third in the Group 2 table, having won three of the six end-of-season games, and they are the only club that can catch the young Royals. Derby County occupy second place currently but the Rams have already completed all of their fixtures.
Those attending tomorrow's game can gain entry to Madejski Stadium via gates 1 and 4. Parking is also free and a concourse bar will also be open.
Entry is also free for the U21s’ final match of the season against West Bromwich Albion on Friday 15th May, 7pm.
