Striker to spend spell on loan at Bristol CityStriker Simon Cox has this afternoon completed a loan move to fellow Championship side Bristol City, joining the Ashton Gate outfit until the beginning of January 2016.
The 28-year-old forward has made 1(+4) appearances for the club this season but hasn’t featured in Steve Clarke’s side since starting in our 2-1 Capital One Cup win at Portsmouth at the end of August.
Royals manager Steve Clarke said: "This arrangement is good for all parties and we wish Simon well in his loan spell at Bristol City."
The Republic of Ireland international scored eight goals in a total of 43 appearances for the Royals last season having rejoined the club he grew up at last summer and Cox will now look to play on a more regular basis with last season’s League One champions.
The former Royals Academy graduate could be in line to make his City debut against one of his former employers, Nottingham Forest, when Steve Cotterill’s side host Dougie Freedman’s men live on Sky Sports next Friday night.
