Youngsters in action against Canaries at Madejski Stadium

Come down to the Madejski Stadium on Monday evening to see our Under-21s in league action for FREE against Norwich City!

Entry to the match and parking at Madejski Stadium is totally free of charge for all fans – all supporters will be based in the West Stand Lower.  Click here to see our full U21 fixtures & results, which includes games at Madejski Stadium and Adams Park.

Our youngsters have been in impressive form this season and currently sit third in the Barclays U21 Premier League.

Last time out Martin Kuhl’s boys were involved in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.  The young Royals came back from 3-1 down at in West London, with Liam Kelly scoring a spectacular free-kick deep into stoppage time to level the scores, stun Chelsea, and earn a vital point.

The Under-21s have played once already at Madejski Stadium so far this season – that was at the end of August when they faced a highly-rated Liverpool side.  Reading were not intimidated by their opposition and fired their way into a two-goal through Andrija Novakovich and Rowan Liburd; a late goal from the visitors could not put the dampeners on what was a superb home performance as the Royals saw out the 2-1 win.

On Monday evening we are also hosting our Halloween-themed signing session, with plenty of activities taking place around the Stadium for young fans before kick-off.

Supporters will have the chance to meet some Reading stars for an hour long spooky signing session in the Reading FC Megastore starting at 5.30pm – click here for more information.

Face painters will be on hand around the Mad Stad to transform young Reading supporters into little Halloween monsters, and a fancy dress competition will also take place – there is a Reading FC goody-bag up for grabs for whoever has the scariest costume.

Our Royals Fun Zone will also be open in the North Stand, giving budding young footballers the chance to test their skills.  The ‘design your own Christmas card’ competition will also be running in the Fun Zone, giving fans the chance to see their designs in the Reading FC Megastore over the Christmas period.
