TV selections re-jig December schedule

8 October 2015

Royals to feature on TV three times in December!

Steve Clarke’s side will see three of their six fixtures in December played in front of a television audience after our home match against QPR and away trips to Hull City and Wolverhampton Wanderers were selected for live broadcast by Sky Sports.

Reading vs QPR
Thursday 3rd December, kick-off 8pm

Our home game against Queen’s Park Rangers (originally scheduled for Saturday 5th December, 3pm) has been brought forward to take place on the evening of Thursday 3rd December. The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports 1 with kick-off at 8pm. This means that the weekend of 5th/6th December is now without a first team fixture.

Hull City vs Reading
Wednesday 16th December, kick-off 7.45pm

Our long trip up to the KC Stadium (originally scheduled for Tuesday 15th December, 7.45pm) has been put back by 24 hours and will now take place on the evening of Wednesday 16th December. The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports 1 with kick-off scheduled for 7.45pm.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Reading
Saturday 26th December, kick-off 5.15pm

Our Boxing Day fixture at Molineux will still take place on Saturday 26th December, but it will kick-off at the new time of 5.15pm and the match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports 1.

Due to the change of date for the Hull (a) fixture, the club have also agreed to play their home fixture against Blackburn Rovers on Sunday 20th December, kick-off 3pm. This fixture has not been selected for live TV broadcast, but moving the game on by 24 hours will allow Steve Clarke’s side an all-important extra day’s recovery following s Wednesday night visit to Hull. So the fourth fixture amendment will be as follows…

Reading vs Blackburn Rovers
Sunday 20th December, kick-off 3pm

As a club we fully appreciate that changes in the fixture schedule can sometimes prove inconvenient, however we have aimed to communicate these changes to our fans at the earliest possible opportunity and before matchday tickets for any of these games have gone on sale to supporters. Thank you for your loyal support as always.
