A Royals fan ran onto the pitch after Nick Blackman converted a penalty at Griffin Park recently, capping off a thrilling 3-1 victory for Reading at Griffin Park.

Reading Football Club takes very seriously any misbehaviour of Royals supporters whether at home or away.

It is a breach of the Ground Regulations and is against FA rules for supporters to enter the field of play.

Such action can also lead to arrest under the Football Offences Act and a Football Banning Order be issued by the Magistrates Court.

The identity of persons misbehaving at away grounds is shared with Reading Football Club and this has resulted in a suspension from attending Royals matches home and away subject to attending an interview with Reading FC Safety Officer.

Ray Booth Stadium Manager said, “This type of irresponsible behaviour is thankfully a rare occurrence with our fans and is not tolerated by the Club.  The Royals fans at Brentford were fantastic with their tremendous support, but regrettably this one fan puts the Club under FA scrutiny.”
