Royals supporters cycling to Bristol for #21forDolan

17 September 2015

Ben and Will embarking on epic cross-country ride

Most visiting supporters that are heading to Bristol City on Saturday will be travelling by car, train or coach.

Not Ben Strickland and Will Davis, who will be saddling up and relying on pedal-power as they cycle the 120 kilometres to Ashton Gate.  They are raising money for charity Cancer Research after taking inspiration from the #21forDolan initiative in support of our Academy Manager.

Armed with new Royals shirts – with Eamonn Dolan’s name and the number ‘21’ on the back – as well as a couple of cameras to document their journey, the Reading-supporting duo will be hitting the road at the crack of dawn to make it to Bristol City in time for kick-off.

They have already raised three-quarters of their fundraising target of £1,000 (including a generous donation from former Reading captain Jem Karacan) – if you want to sponsor them as they take on this fantastic challenge, click here to visit their JustGiving fundraising page.

Everyone at Reading Football Club wishes Ben and Will a safe and enjoyable journey, and the very best of luck in their fundraising!
