Wear a shirt to work and raise cash for Cancer Research UKWe’re a week away from the big kick-off for Football Shirt Friday! On April 22nd you can help tackle bowel cancer by pulling on the blue and white hoops…
The Bobby Moore Fund, in partnership with Cancer Research UK, has seen bowel cancer mortality rates fall by 30% since 1993 – but there is still much more to do.
And you can help do something about it! That’s why we want you to rally your friends, family and colleagues together and get involved in Football Shirt Friday.
Wear a Royals shirt with pride on Friday 22nd April and donate just £2 to the Bobby Moore Fund – it’s just a small price to pay to show Bowel Cancer the red card. Pull on this season’s kit if you like, or grab a retro Reading shirt from the wardrobe to celebrate some of our former glories.
Ditch the suit, dig out your Reading colours and do Bobby Moore proud 50 years on from England’s fantastic World Cup winning glory. (But if you’re planning on wearing your shirt to work, be sure to check with your boss first…!)
To donate £2 to Cancer Research UK, text Goal002* to 70070 or head to www.cancerresearchuk.org to donate online.
Make sure you tweet us with your pics on the day as well – contact us on @ReadingFC and use the hashtag #FootballShirtFriday and we’ll share your snaps!
*Texts are charged at £2 plus a standard rate text (age 16+, UK mobiles only) and Cancer Research UK receives 100% of the donation.
