Head to the Royals Rendezvous and try one of the first ever pints of 106 thanks to West Berkshire Brewery! It’s been an exciting few weeks at West Berkshire Brewery where the official Reading FC Ale has been brewing! We’re delighted to say that the Ale will be available at Saturday’s game against Birmingham so make sure you head to the Royals Rendezvous to try one of the first ever ‘pints of 106’!
At the start of January, in conjunction with club partners West Berkshire Brewery and Waitrose, we launched a competition for the fans to suggest names for the official Reading FC Ale. The overwhelming favourite was ‘106’ paying homage to the record breaking number of league points held by the club. From these entries we randomly selected two winners, Amy and Mike, who subsequently helped to design the label for the ale and then assisted with brewing the beverage. See what they got up to in the above video!
The finished product is a pale ale, described as clean, light and extremely thirst quenching with a citrus hop flavour provided by US Cascade hops over a pale malt base.
