Come back to Madejski to see us take on Manchester City on Monday!Reading U21 v Man City U21
Barclays U21 Premier League
Monday 11th April 2016, 7pm
On Monday evening, Martin Kuhl’s side face Manchester City in their final league game of the Barclays U21 Premier League season.
The Royals are enjoying playing their football alongside some of the country's elite sides having been promoted to Division One as champions the previous campaign.
The visitors currently lie third in the table with 28 points, but have three games in hand over the Royals who lie just the single point behind them in fifth.
For the Royals this is their final league game of the campaign, and victory would take them up to 30 points and potentially as high as third place, overtaking Monday night’s opponents.
Anything but a loss would mathematically guarantee Martin Kuhl’s side a place in Division One next season, although as it stands they have a substantial goal difference lead over 11th placed Leicester City, so are theoretically safe whatever the outcome.
Throughout the season, the Royals have relished playing their football against the top U21s sides in both the Premier League and the Championship, and have beaten the likes of Everton, Tottenham and Liverpool already this season!
Last time out Norwich City were the opposition, and a stoppage time equaliser from Tariqe Fosu ensured Martin Kuhl’s side would take a share of the points in an eight goal thriller at Carrow Road.
Reading will be looking for their eighth win of the season on Monday night, and you can come down and watch the game at Madejski Stadium which is free of charge for all, with kick-off at 7pm.
Parking is also free and unreserved on the night, and seating is in the West Lower with gates opening at 6pm. Refreshments, including alcohol, are available on the night - so make sure you rock up in numbers and support the boys in their final league game of the season!
