The Royals and Waitrose extend their partnership into a record 9th seasonThe Royals are delighted to announce that Waitrose has signed a new agreement to continue its partnership with the club into a record ninth season.
Waitrose’s name will once again be displayed with pride on the back of the new 2016/17 kit. The deal sees the extension of a very successful working relationship that first began in 2008.
The Royals are extremely proud to have been working with a brand of Waitrose’s stature for so many years, indeed their name has been on our shirt longer than any other sponsor.
Adam Benson, Commercial Director at Reading Football Club, said, “We would like to place on record our sincere thanks for all the support that Waitrose has given the club over the last eight seasons. It will be a great privilege working alongside them again.”
Waitrose Director of Marketing, Rupert Thomas, added, "We have established an excellent partnership with The Royals and look forward to continuing our relationship in what promises to be an exciting ninth season together. Extending our sponsorship with a community focused club will give our brand further exposure, both in the regional area in which we trade and at a national level."
