Ahead of the game: Fulham under Friday-night floodlights

29 December 2016

A preview of our final fixture of 2016

Reading v Fulham
Madejski Stadium
Sky Bet Championship
Friday 30th December 2016, 8pm

What better way to end the year than a home match at Madejski Stadium?

We host Fulham in our final game of 2016 this Friday – it’s a chance to make it six straight wins in our back yard.

The Cottagers took a resounding win when we met earlier this month at Craven Cottage – but with some key players returning from their injuries and suspensions, now we have the opportunity to return the favour.

So we’re calling on your support once more – see you here on Friday!

Please see the full ticket information for this game by clicking here.

If you are intending to buy on the evening of the game or collect your tickets before the game, please ensure that you arrive early to avoid long queues at the Ticket Office.

Ticket Bundles are now also available to buy online! Click here for more information about how you can buy your 4-Match Bundle and redeem games from wherever you are.

On a matchday, only very limited overflow parking is available at the stadium for £8 – we advise supporters to consider one of our off-site car parks. Non-Permit holders enter the Stadium via Northern Way only and Permit holders enter via Hurst Way and Northern Way.

If you have a child under the age of 12 in your car, you will be eligible to park in our special family parking area for £8 – spaces are available in advance by phoning the Ticket Office on 0118 968 1313 or visiting the Ticket Office in person. If purchasing in advance, parking permits will be posted or available for collection from the Main Ticket Office prior to matchday.

James Linington takes charge of this one – his second game of the season at Madejski Stadium.  In the other, Rajiv van La Parra was dismissed by the official in our 1-0 win against Huddersfield.  He has overseen one Fulham fixture – a 2-2 draw with Norwich at Craven Cottage in October.

Mark Russell and Daniel Robathan are Mr Linington’s assistants, and the fourth official is Lee Collins.

The visitors are 11/8 favourites for the win, while Sky Bet have us at 9/5 for the three points and a draw at 12/5.

Garath McCleary can be backed at 2/1 to hit his ninth goal of the campaign, while Callum Harriott – who rounded off a win against Norwich – is 11/4 to find the net again.

There is a revamped concourse menu in place for the 2016/17 season, details of which can be found by clicking here. Make sure you take advantage of our contactless payment points situated all around the stadium concourses highlighted by the yellow contactless sign & a yellow t-shirt which says “I take contactless”.

Piglets, our pie supplier, are offering ‘pies of the month’ throughout the season – December's offering is a Christmas pie, Butternut Squash & Spicy Veg or Veggie Sausage Roll.

Kingsley Kids Bags are also a convenient way of getting food for young supporters delivered straight to your seat! Click here to find out more.

Young supporters can visit the Royals Fun Zone, just outside the Eamonn Dolan Stand, Gate 6. Football based games will be available for young fans to put their skills to the test! The Fun Zone will also be open at half-time for supporters to come and have fun.

And thanks to our Official Pouring Rights Partner, Heineken, Royals fans can enjoy a beverage at the Fan Zone before the game. Located outside the East Stand, the area is an ideal place to catch up and enjoy a drink with fellow fans before the action kicks off!

Don’t forget to get your Golden Gamble ticket – the draw, sponsored by STAR, will be made at half-time. Tickets can be purchased from designated sellers based around the stadium, for just £1. There are two prizes up for grabs: a cash prize or an item of Reading FC merchandise, signed by the team! All funds go to the Reading FC Community Trust.
