Be here on Boxing Day!

20 December 2016

Get behind the boys against Norwich!

The Christmas period means a feast of football – and we’ve got two home fixtures at Madejski Stadium before the turn of the year.

We host Fulham on December 30th, but – as the saying goes – the next game is the most important.  And that’s our Boxing Day fixture against Norwich City!  Tickets have already been selling fast – it’s going to be out biggest home gate of the campaign to date.

And that’s no wonder – we’re already at the 40-point mark, and we’ll be sitting third on the Championship tree at Christmas!  We’ve won each of the last four games on home turf – will we make it five?

It will be almost two years to the day since we last hosted Norwich – on 28th December 2014, first-half goals by Hal Robson-Kanu and Simon Cox earned us a 2-1 win and 3 Championship points against our Norfolk visitors.

And this time around, it’s all quite tight in the league table – but this fixture offers an opportunity to put a 10-point gap between ourselves and the Canaries as we hit the half-way point of the campaign.  We’re also hopeful that we can keep up our home form… it’s 9 wins and 3 draws so far from 13 fixtures at Madejski Stadium!

Availability is now extremely limited in the East, Eamonn Dolan and West Lower Stands – so make sure you book as early as you can to ensure the best seats available.

Or perhaps you’d consider even treating a friend or family member (or yourself!) to a Half Season Ticket – it covers our final 12 fixtures, beginning with this game against the Canaries... and with prices beginning at just £200 for Adults, it offers fantastic value.  Half Season Tickets also offer a range of extra benefits… including priority for those sought-after tickets, such as January’s trip to Manchester United!

Because of the limited postal service over Christmas, supporters that book now will have to collect tickets on matchday from the Ticket Office at Madejski Stadium – we’re expecting it to be busy, so make sure you leave yourself ample time to get here and collect your tickets.

And, as ever, travel will be affected – there are no trains, but buses will be in operation.  And there are an extra 700 parking spaces available at Costco, who are donating all proceeds to BBC Children in Need!  For full travel information for this fixture, click here.

Make sure you don’t miss this one.  Come and get behind Jaap Stam and the team and help to play your part in another three important points…
