Stuart Moore goes in goal for school shoot-out!

1 December 2016

Goalkeeper visits local school and ends up between the sticks!

Royals goalkeeper Stuart Moore visited the Spurcroft Primary School in Thatcham earlier this week to meet the kids from a Year 3 and Year 4 after-school soccer class.

The 22-year-old Academy graduate has played on a number of occasions for our Under-23s this season, and in recent weeks has been on the bench for the first team as back-up to regular stopper Ali Al-Habsi.

Stu kindly gave up his day off to meet the kids, sign autographs and even ended up between the sticks as the kids took penalties against the Reading goalie... a memorable experience for all involved!

The winners of the penalty shoot-out also had a memento of the occasion - they were awarded two signed pairs of gloves by Reading’s number 40.
