We need nominations for your Goal of 2016!

29 December 2016

Help us compile a shortlist for the best goal of the year…

We’ve had our fair share of good goals this year.

But which deserves the crown of Reading FC Goal of 2016?

We’re calling on your suggestions so that we can compile a shortlist… and then we’ll open the voting to our supporters!

Our most recent goal – Callum Harriott’s stoppage-time stunner against Norwich – is fresh in the mind, and it’s going to take some beating.  But there are plenty of others to choose from!

Just reply to the tweet below with your suggestions, and we’ll open the voting early in the new year with the most-suggested goals!

We will soon be asking you to vote for your Reading Goal of the Year for 2016... which goals do you think should be on the shortlist?

And everyone has their own criteria about what makes a goal great.  For some, it’s the build-up, a defence-splitting pass, or a bit of skill.

For others, it’s all about the final strike which beats the goalkeeper.

While for some supporters, the goal’s context is also all-important – late winners get extra credit!

Take a look at the video playlists on YouTube below by way of reminder – the second half of our 2015/16 campaign, as well as all of our games to date in 2016/17…
