Rowan and Tish visit community centre

Royals duo visit to Amersham Road Community Centre

Royals duo Rowan Liburd and Aaron Tshibola paid a visit to the Amersham Road Community Centre last week to spend some time with the young people at the centre, and taking part in a number of activities!

The pair called in to check out the fantastic work the Reading FC Community Trust deliver as part of their social inclusion focus. The Trust put on sessions such as these across the Reading area to create a safe environment for youngsters.

The session provides young people with the chance to meet up with their friends and play football, table tennis or Xbox and relax. Rowan and Aaron joined in with the activities and chatted with the youngsters - and Rowan proved to be a dab hand on the games consoles!  Both players signed autographs and posed for photos to give the group something to remember from the day.

Before the end of the evening the Reading players could not help showing their competitive side and when Community Trust coach Mark challenged Tish to a game of ping pong, the Royals midfielder couldn't refuse!

A lively match ensued with Mark coming out on top, which was hardly a surprise after he revealed to the Royals midfielder he plays in a local league as part of a Community Trust team (but only once he’d wrapped up the victory!)
