All the draw details: FA Cup, fourth round

10 January 2016

Draw numbers to look out for...

Royals supporters should be looking out for ball number 29 in this evening’s FA Cup fourth round draw, which takes place from 7pm this evening (Monday 11th January).

Our name is still in the hat – but we will need to overcome Huddersfield Town first, who claimed a 2-2 draw at John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday, taking the tie to a replay.  The Madejski Stadium replay is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 19th January (8pm) – click here for ticket details.

The draw will take place on BBC One as part of The One Show, with the balls scheduled to be drawn at around 7.15pm – and there is a large spectrum of clubs still left in the competition!

There were a few upsets over the course of the weekend.  The smallest club left in the competition is undoubtedly Eastleigh; the National League side were two minutes from a shock win against Bolton Wanderers, but Darren Pratley netted late to take the tie to a replay at the Macron Stadium.  Bolton and Eastleigh are ball number 22.

In addition, there are still seven League 2 sides in the competition – Oxford (16) beat Premier League side Swansea 3-2 on Sunday, while Exeter City forced a replay from Liverpool on Friday (5) and Wycombe fought back to claim a draw with Aston Villa on Saturday (14).

The fourth round proper will take place across the weekend of Friday 29th January to Monday 1st February 2016.  Should we beat Huddersfield in the replay, our away Championship fixture in Ipswich will be rearranged.
