Join over 1,200 travelling fans at the County Ground
We’re pleased to announce that Swindon Town have agreed to sell tickets to travelling Reading supporters at this evening’s friendly fixture on arrival at the Country Ground.
This fixture was originally set to be an all-ticket affair, but the Robins have now opened the invitation to all fans… over 1,200 tickets have been sold already, so why not head along and see Jaap’s team in action!
Supporters that have bought tickets and have arranged to collect them at Swindon need to head to the Away Ticket Office. That is also where Royals fans will be able to purchase their tickets on the evening (cash only).
We haven’t been to the County Ground for a competitive meeting since 2002, when we played out a goalless draw against the Robins. The year before, Jamie Cureton netted the sole goal of the game for us in a Division 2 meeting to earn us the points!
No points are at stake this time around, but it will be another good test for our team and another opportunity to see some of our summer arrivals in action in our new-look team. We also have another match at the weekend away at another League 1 outfit in the form of AFC Wimbledon.
But don’t forget to grab your tickets for our home friendly against our Premier League opponents AFC Bournemouth on Friday 29th July! It will be Jaap Stam’s first outing at Madejski Stadium and a chance to give our boss a big welcome to his new home.
Advance tickets are just £5 for Adults against our top-tier opponents, and fans aged 17 & Under can attend for just £1! Make sure you book in advance to take advantage of the best possible prices as the gaffer puts the finishing touches on preparations for 2016/17.
