The Royals in action out in Oosterbeek

Squad enjoying training camp in Holland

Jaap Stam and his coaching staff have taken a squad of staff and players to Oosterbeek in Holland for a short training camp and a pre-season friendly against Saudi Arabian top flight side Al-Taawoun FC on the evening of Friday 15th July, kick off 6pm (local time).

The group flew to Amsterdam at the crack of dawn on Monday morning before travelling by coach into the heart of Holland to stay in a village just 5km west of Arnhem.

The list of those who have flown to Holland includes Gaston Campi, and Argentinian defender who is linking up with the Royals on trial for the duration of the team's stay. Jonathan Bond misses out through injury, but new goalkeeping signing Anssi Jaakkola joined his new teammates out in the Netherlands yesterday night after putting pen to paper on a two-year deal with the Royals. Joseph Mendes, Joey Van den Berg and Danzell Gravenberch are other new faces in action out in Holland.

Young Academy products Liam Kelly, Craig Tanner, Zak Jules, Rob Dickie, Lewis Ward, Tennai Watson and Dominic Samuel are also included in the squad that have travelled, while those players who were involved in international duty at the European Championships are set to join the squad to begin their pre-season preparations next week.

The official website and the club's social media channels will have coverage from the team's week out in Holland and we will report live via Twitter from the friendly on Friday, before the squad fly back to London on Saturday 16th July. Full highlights from the fixture on Friday will also be available on Reading FC Player.

Meanwhile, ticket details have been announced for this weekend's trip to Lincoln City - Martin Kuhl will now take charge of a team who travel to take on the Imps at Sincil Bank in a pre-season affair on home soil this Saturday.

We then take on Swindon Town next Tuesday evening, before a trip to AFC Wimbledon on Saturday 23rd July - ticket details for all those fixtures have been announced. You will be able to buy tickets on the day of the Lincoln City and AFC Wimbledon games, however fans must purchase your ticket for the clash against near neighbours Swindon Town in advance - full details are available on our Away Tickets page.
