This week the #NameOurAle competition winners visited West Berkshire Brewery’s headquarters in Yattendon to start designing the official Reading FC Ale, named by the fans as “106”.

An early 7am start did not put Mike and Amy off and they eagerly got stuck in, helping to create the first few casks of “106”.! Check out the video above to see more of their experience.

Head Brewer Will Twomey took the competition winners through the complicated process of brewing an Ale. In the video he talks through everything involved in designing an Ale and discusses what makes “106” so unique.

The official Reading FC Ale will be launched at our home game against Birmingham on Saturday 9th April, the Ale will also be available at local pubs and Waitrose supermarkets around the area.

Make sure you come down to the Birmingham game and try one of the first pints of 106!
