Reading FC Community Trust host the Southern division Kinder + Sport Football League Kids CupLast week the Reading FC Community Trust invited school kids from all over the country as they participated in the Kinder +Sport Football League Kids Cup held at Reading FC’s academy facilities.
The Kinder +Sport Football League Kids Cup comprises of a six-a-side competition for U11 schoolchildren. Each club hosts tournaments in their community identifying the best school team before advancing the winning team to the regional competition representing their club. The day long tournament hosted by the Community Trust involved twelve teams hailing from the Southern reaches of the Championship: QPR, Charlton, Brentford, Ipswich, MK Dons, Fulham, Birmingham City, Reading, Brighton, Wolves, Cardiff and Bristol City.
Liam Thorne discussing the event said “Reading FC Community Trust are happy to host the Kinder +Sport Football League Kids Cup Regional Final. The standard on the pitches was very high throughout the day, it was great to see Ian Bremner from the Football League Trust in attendance, witnessing some of the competitive action that was taking place.”
