Competition winners visit Hogwood!

31 March 2016

Royals fans watch training and meet the team

A group of competition-winning Season Ticket holders won the opportunity to visit Hogwood Park training ground this week, and to watch the players train in preparation for this weekend’s Sky Bet Championship trip to Bolton Wanderers.

After watching the players going through the warm-ups and drills, the action really kicked off on a bright afternoon at Hogwood Park with the focus of the session around passing and shooting contests.

The visiting fans seemed to thoroughly enjoy their day out, with Father and Son, Dean and Jack Swift, travelling all the way from Margate, as they do for every Reading home game.

“From a warm welcome, friendly staff, very impressive facilities and the chance to watch the team train, we couldn't have wished for anything more,” said Dean.

“The players were very welcoming, it's lovely to follow a family friendly team and well worth the journey.”

After the training session and an intense shooting drill, the players wandered over to the watching supporters to chat, pose for photos and sign shirts and footballs in what was a day to remember for all the visiting Royals faithful.
