Young striker heads to Adams Park to join Chairboys' play-off pushReading Football Club can announce that young striker Rowan Liburd has today joined Wycombe Wanderers on a month-long emergency loan with the League Two outfit.
The 23-year-old forward joined the Royals on a two-year deal in the summer and has impressed for our Under-21 side this season, scoring a total of 11 goals in 14 games for Martin Kuhl’s side.
He has also made three first team appearances for the club this season, coming off the bench at Cardiff and Nottingham Forest in November before featuring as a substitute at home to Brentford under Brian McDermott the following month.
The Chairboys sit in ninth place going into this weekend’s fixtures, which could see Liburd make his Wanderers debut at Newport County, yet Gareth Ainsworth’s men sit only a point off the play-off pace and just four points behind third-placed Accrington Stanley.
Wycombe have scored just six goals in the 11 games they have played in 2016 so far, so they will be hoping the Royals striker can add firepower to their armoury in the League Two run-in.
We would like to wish Rowan the best of luck out on loan at Adams Park, where his loan spell begins immediately and will run until Saturday 2nd April.
