Reading right back Chris Gunter has been named in Chris Coleman’s Wales squad of 29 players for a pre-UEFA Euro 2016 training camp in Portugal, which begins on 23rd May.

The Reading defender played a major role in Wales' qualification campaign playing every minute as the Dragons finished runners-up in Group B.

Also involved in the squad is striker Hal-Robson Kanu and former Royals Academy product Simon Church - but Gunter's season, which has seen him play 51(+1) times for his club, will continue with his country this summer.

Coleman will name the 23 players who will represent Wales at the European Championships on 31st May before playing Sweden in Stockholm on 5th June in an international friendly.

The squad will then leave immediately for its Team Base Camp in Dinard, Brittany, where they will prepare for their opening game of the tournament against Slovakia in Bordeaux on 11th June. Wales will then play England in Lens on 16th June and travel to Toulouse for the match against Russia on 20th June.
