Stacey set for Royals recall

3 May 2016

Winger to return ahead of final fixture

Royals midfielder Jack Stacey is set to be recalled from his loan spell at Carlisle United ahead of our last outing of the season away at Blackburn.

The winger, who only turned 20 last month, made nine appearances for the Cumbrians during his loan spell, added to two outings for fellow League 2 side Barnet earlier in the 2015/16 calendar.  Between loan spells, he has also impressed for our Under-21 side in league action which included scoring a noteworthy solo strike against Tottenham.

Stacey netted twice for Carlisle during his six-week stint at Brunton Park – the first of which helped the Cumbrians to a 3-2 victory against promotion-hopefuls Bristol Rovers.

Carlisle are currently sitting in 12th in the League 2 table, with neither promotion nor relegation a possibility in the final weekend.  And so Jack is set to be recalled ahead of our last fixture of 2015/16, and will be eligible to feature as we travel to Blackburn this weekend.
