Gylfi's first goal, Bignall & Mooney braces - all when we last met the Brewers!Ahead of this weekend's return to Championship action with the visit of Nigel Clough's Brewers, the Royals have only ever met Burton Albion once before - that meeting came in the Carling Cup back in August 2009.
Were you here that evening, seven years ago? The Royals took an unassailable lead by scoring three goals in the opening nine minutes of the cup tie - Albion at the time had only just broken into the Football League and were making thier debut in the competition.
Dave Mooney broke the deadlock and three minutes later the Royals were 3-0 to the good thanks to a brace from Nicholas Bignall.
Perhaps more notable was the fourth goal which came from the boot of Gylfi Sigurdsson - the Icelander's first goal for the club! It was a long range effort that wowed the Madejski Stadium crowd and he would go on to score 19 more that season, including vital strikes that took us to an historic FA Cup quarter-final in 2010.
Jimmy Phillips found a way past Ben Hamer in the Reading goal, but a fifth was added by Mooney and Brendan Rodgers' men ran out comfortable victors.
Since that game, the Royals have tasted Premier League football once again, while the Brewers have steadily climbed up the league ladder to reach the second tier thanks to a second-placed finish in League One last season.
And Albion will be no pushovers! Burton have beaten the likes of Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday, Cardiff City and Birmingham City this season and they'll be looking to add another former Premier League scalp to their records on Saturday afternoon.
Tickets are available to both home and away supporters for as little as £20 per adult, while those aged 65 and over can come to the game for just £13 if they buy their ticket in advance. 18-24-year-olds need only pay £10 to see Championship football at the Madejski this season, while all Under-17s can secure a seat in the Eamonn Dolan Stand for just a fiver!
