Reading winger hopes for loud home support as Royals look to make it five in a row...

Royals winger Garath McCleary is hoping for a vocal home crowd this weekend when Reading face Bristol City at Madejski Stadium.

With the visitors set to bring in excess of 3,000 travelling fans, the Jamaican international feels a loud home support will be important as Reading push for five wins on the trot.

“The fact that they’ll be bringing a good away following I could envisage that they will be very loud, so our fans, just get behind us and hopefully we can pull off a win for you,” said McCleary.

“It is something of a derby with them just down the M4, they’ll be bringing a lot of fans with them so hopefully the home crowd can get behind us and we’ll push for another win.”

Bristol currently sit in 10th place in the Sky Bet Championship and have pulled off some notable wins this season including a 4-0 away hammering of Fulham at Craven Cottage.

McCleary knows the Royals will have to be weary of the Robins attacking threat but believes Reading are well prepared for the weekend have analysed their opponents well.

“We’ve worked on our shape and we’ve seen clips of Bristol and we know what to expect," admitted the wide man. “We’ll be going out there confident like we are in every game and hopefully we can get the three points.

“I know some of their players personally, they are a very good team. They’ve got some players that we’ll have to be aware of so it is going to be a tough game, but we’re going to be going out there looking for another win and hopefully we can do that.

“We’re trying to build that winning momentum by taking every game as it comes.”
