Williams and McCleary return to start

1 October 2016

Team news for the visit of the Rams

Danny Williams is fit enough to start against Derby this afternoon, recovering from a knock suffered at the end of our home win over Huddersfield last weekend to be named in Jaap Stam's eleven today.

Garath McCleary is also back in the line-up following the end of a three-game suspension picked up at Oakwell last month. Callum Harriott and Joey van den Berg make way, while Liechtenstein international Sandro Wieser is named on the bench at the Madejski for the first time.

Derby, meanwhile, name four former Royals in their squad - Alex Pearce starts at the back, Matej Vydra leads the line for the visitors, while Nick Blackman and Chris Baird are amongst the seven substitutes picked by caretaker manager Chris Powell.

Reading: Al-Habsi, Gunter, Obita, McShane (c), Moore, Evans, Williams, Swift, McCleary, Beerens, Kermorgant.

Derby: Carson, Christie, Butterfield, Keogh (c), Pearce, Johnson, Hughes, Olsson, Anya, Ince Vydra.
