Ahead of the game: A battle with the Blues in Berkshire

13 September 2016

A preview of our meeting with Birmingham City

Reading v Birmingham City
Madejski Stadium
Sky Bet Championship
Tuesday 13th September 2016, 8pm

After a thrilling 95th-minute win against Ipswich Town on Friday evening the Royals welcome Birmingham City to Madejski Stadium as they look to make it three wins on the trot in the Sky Bet Championship.

City will present a difficult challenge for Stam's side, coming into the game off the back of two wins themselves.

The Royals' clash with Birmingham is one of ten Championship fixtures on Tuesday evening and will present an opportunity for the Reading to get some more points on the board and propel themselves further up the Championship table.

It's another game under the floodlights at Madejski Stadium as the Royals go in search of three more points!

Tickets are still available for our clash with Birmingham, and if you are a Member Card holder and buy your ticket in advance of three hours before kick-off, you will be eligible for a saving of £3 compared to matchday prices.

The Royals also have a special family section in the Eamonn Dolan Stand, with reduced ticket prices for you and your family.

Christopher Kavanagh will be in charge at Madejski Stadium on Tuesday evening - the last time the referee appeared in Berkshire was when he oversaw the Royals' 0-0 draw with Leeds United last season for our opening home fixture.

The Royals are at 23/20 to take all three points from this one, while visitors Birmingham are 12/5 to take a win back to the Midlands. The price is at 23/10 for the scores to be level at full time.

Danny Williams, who slotted home the Royals late winner against the Tractor Boys, is at 3/1 to net again tonight, while 5/2 are the odds on John Swift grabbing his third competitive goal on home soil.
