Bring your own Royal!

9 September 2016

The next exclusive benefit for our ST holders

Four games. Seven goals. Eleven new signings. Three wins and a draw. Madejski Stadium has a buzz about it as Jaap Stam and his team of coaching staff continue to introduce a positive, attacking, entertaining brand of football at Reading Football Club.

Now…three home games in fifteen days. And we want to build on that buzz and invite more football fans to come and take a look at the Royals in action at the start of what is a brand new era.

So, as just one of a number of benefits we are going to offer our Season Ticket holders in 2016-17, we are inviting you to bring a friend for FREE to one of our next three home games.

Next up, we host Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich Town on Friday 9th September, kick-off 8pm. The following week, Jaap Stam’s men take on Birmingham City on the evening of Tuesday 13th September…and then we welcome current table-toppers Huddersfield Town to RG2 on Saturday 24th September in the final home fixture of the month, kick-off 3pm.

Want to bring your niece along to experience her first Royals home game? Does your local barber patiently listen to you chat all things Reading FC without first hand appreciation of Roy Beerens’ step-overs? Want to show the pub landlord what he’s missing at the Madejski? You can claim your FREE ticket now!

And it’s easy!

Just call our Ticket Office on 0118 968 1313 and register for a free ticket for one of the three games now!

We will then either upload the fixture to your friend’s Member Card if they have one, or alternatively we can send out a paper ticket if it is due to be their first visit to Madejski Stadium.

This offer is even available to our FREE Under-7 Season Ticket holders – so if you want to bring mum as well as dad, or if your classmate fancies coming along to sample the Madejski Stadium experience, just give us a call!

Your free ticket will be valid in any area of the stadium and, if any Season Ticket Holder wishes to move their seat as a one-off to be able to sit next to their friend for their chosen match, this can be done at the same time that you claim the free ticket. The offer is not available online and please note that you have to register for your free ticket in advance of the game - at least three hours before your chosen fixture kicks off.

Our fan base commitment
We are committed to growing our fan base and making Madejski Stadium accessible, attractive and affordable for as many football followers as possible.

At the start of the 2016-17 campaign, this club took the pioneering move to agree to ‘Twenty’s Plenty’ for away fans in the South Stand and, as a result, reduced advance matchday ticket prices to match the same £20 maximum for all who want to take a seat in the Eamonn Dolan Stand this season.

Of course the club further reduced Season Ticket prices in the newly-named Eamonn Dolan Stand this season – meaning adults can see every one of our league fixtures for as little as £14.13 per match, while 65 & Over ST holders pay the equivalent of just £9.35, 18-24 year-olds only £5.87 and 17 & Under fans an average match price of £3.87!

For the first time this year, we also offered our ST Holders cash back for referring a friend to buy a Season Ticket for 2016-17 - and with Family Ticket bundles on offer and Under-7s still able to come to every game for FREE, it is clear the club are dedicated to attracting more men, women, girls and boys to Madejski Stadium.
The more fans in the stands, the better the atmosphere. And more vibrant the atmosphere, the more support will filter through to the eleven men on the pitch. So that is why we are calling on you to help us to make the Madejski the place to be this month!

Season Ticket Holder rewards and benefits
This is only the second in a series of rewards we will be rolling out to our Season Ticket holders across the current campaign.

Last month, the club announced an offer which offered our most loyal supporters an ‘in store’ discount on the new home, away or goalkeeper’s shirt.

With the deadline extended until our next home fixture when we take on Ipswich Town next Friday night, our ST holders still have the chance to take up this offer - £10 will be taken off the new kit for every adult or ‘65 & Over’ Season Ticket holder, whilst all ’17 & Under’ and ‘18-24 year-old’ Season Ticket holders will be eligible for a £5 discount on their new 2016-17 colours.

And with the season less than a month old, the club have launched the second in a string of 2016-17 ST holder benefits today – you can claim your free ticket now by calling 0118 968 1313 or visiting out Ticket Office in person!

Just choose your match, pick a friend and register for a free ticket:
•    Ipswich Town (Friday 9th September, kick off 8pm)
•    Birmingham City (Tuesday 13th September, kick off 8pm)
•    Huddersfield Town (Saturday 24th September, kick off 3pm)

Ticket Office opening hours
To take advantage of this offer, you can call the Ticket Office on 0118 9681313 or pay a visit in person.

The Ticket Office is open until 5pm this evening, then our operators are available to receive calls and accept callers between 9am and 12noon on Saturday.

It will be closed on Sunday, but the Ticket Office will re-open at 9am until 5pm on Monday and be able to process supporters’ ticket requests throughout next week.
