Moore fully focussed on Griffin Park trip

Reading defender determined to keep the Royals' run going against Brentford...

Royals defender Liam Moore says the squad are now fully focussed on Tuesday’s trip to Griffin Park and a battle under the floodlights with Brentford in the Sky Bet Championship.

The centre back says preparation is well underway for the mid-week clash, with the management staff and players due to look at their opposition in detail to try and give Reading the best possible chance at gleaning all three points from their trip to West London.

“Our heads are on Brentford now,” said Moore. “We used Sunday as a recovery day in preparation for Tuesday and then on Monday we’ll be working on their shape and a bit of video analysis of them, so we’ll be ready to go again come Tuesday night.

“The video guys here are very good,” continued the defender. “The management staff will have already looked at the game and the Brentford videos. They’ll be looking at what formations we’ll be needing, focusing on players and tactics.”

Moore insists the team are determined to keep moving up the league table following a hard fought win at home to high flying Huddersfield on Saturday.

The Royals have now won six out of the last seven games and are unbeaten in eight, an impressive run of form that Moore wants the team to continue ahead of the international break.

“We want to keep moving up the table,” admitted the 23-year-old. “We’ve got two more games in this sequence now before the international break and we want to finish on a positive and then build again after that.

“As players we’re focussed on each game as they come, Huddersfield is a good job done, different players look back at games in different ways.

“Personally I’ll go home and think about what I’ve done and what I feel I could’ve done better,” he continued. “By the time I wake up the next morning I’m focussed on the next game, so Brentford and how we can get three points and hopefully another clean sheet again.”
