The U23s take on the Blues this evening in Premier League 2 action as Reading look for a third win of the season. The Royals host Chelsea this evening in the U23 Premier League at Madejski Stadium, with Martin Kuhl’s side looking to bounce back from their defeat at the hands of Southampton last Monday.
Tonight's 7:05pm kick-off is free entry for fans, so make sure you come along to back the Royals.
The U23s had more joy in their last outing at Madejski Stadium against Manchester City with the team winning the game 3-2 after an extremely impressive first-half.
First-half goals by Sandro Wieser, Tariqe Fosu and Thomas McIntyre pretty much sealed the victory, with Man City striking back late on, but to no avail.
Chelsea head into the game unbeaten in Premier League 2 so far this season, winning two and drawing two. Their last outing was a home fixture with London rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues ran out 3-1 winners against Spurs in a comfortable victory which sees the West London club currently sitting fifth in the league two place and two points above the Royals. If Reading can inflict Chelsea's first defeat of the season it would see the rise above the Blues in the table with nine points from their opening five fixtures.
Entry for this fixture will be FREE for spectators. Entree to the stadium will be through West Stand Gate 1 or Gate 4 with refreshments in the Lower West concourse.
