High demand prompts three-hour Early Bird extension

7 April 2017

Busy Ticket Office to open between 9am-12noon on Saturday for Early Bird purchases...

Fans hoping to sign up to a Season Ticket for 2017/18 at the best possible rate only had until 5pm on Friday 7th April to do so! But, due to high demand, the deadline has been extended to include three hours on Saturday morning!

The Ticket Office at Madejski Stadium will open at 9am on Saturday 8th April and allow anyone who hasn't been able to purchase their 2017-18 seat to date to sign up for next season at the Early Bird rate!

In this final week of Early Bird sales, our Ticket Office staff have been extremely busy to ensure they process all the Early Bird Season Ticket requests to everyone who has called our 0118 968 1313 hotline as well as those who have visited the stadium in person and those who have registered for next season online at readingfcdirect.co.uk!

But to make sure that every supporter who wants to secure a Season Ticket for next season has the opportunity to purchase their seat at the best possible rate - a rate which is fixed regardless of whether we are playing our football in the Championship or the Premier League in 2017-18 - the Ticket Office staff have extended the Early Bird window to include three hours on Saturday morning!

With Jaap Stam's side sitting in fourth place in the Championship, sales of Season Tickets during this Early Bird window have been exceptional and we don't want any fan to miss the opportunity to commit to the 2017/18 challenge at the best possible price!

•    The Ticket Office phone lines will be open between 9am and 12noon on the morning of Saturday 8th April 2017.
•    Supporters looking to purchase online will also be able to do so up until midday on Saturday morning. This includes online purchases throughout the night of Friday 7th April.

After midday on Saturday 8th April, sales of all new STs will cease until the end of the current season – and prices could vary depending on what division we’re in when they go back on sale again later in the summer.

If you’re a current Season Ticket holder and don't renew during this Early Bird period, you’ll have a little bit longer to get your ticket and guarantee you can keep the same seat for next season – but the noon deadline on Saturday 8th April still stands for those ‘early bird’ prices, which begin at £305 per Adult.

And after that date, tickets will still be available to buy for a higher rate up until 5pm on Friday 5th May – after which sales will close for all fans until further notice in the summer.

So the only way to guarantee yourself the best possible rates is by snapping up your ticket during this ‘early bird’ period. And remember, our Early Bird prices are fixed! So, if we have a successful end to the season, you could potentially be watching 19 Premier League games from as little as £345 per Adult!

•    Saturday 8th April, 12noon – end of ‘early bird’ ST renewals and all new STs
•    Friday 5th May, 5pm – final ST renewal period ends

However, this extension does mean that supporters have all Friday evening and Saturday morning to sign up for a Season Ticket and subsequently retweet or share our social media message - entering a competition, exclusive to 2017-18 Season Ticket holders, to win a holiday to Thailand on behalf of our principal partner Carabao in the process!

RT & WIN… a trip to Thailand! 🇹🇭
