Alex Neil's Preston North End side await the Royals on Saturday at Deepdale, with Jaap Stam's side aiming to build on Tuesday night's victory against Aston Villa in the Sky Bet Championship.

Neil took over at Deepdale following Simon Grayson's departure for Championship rivals Sunderland, after four years with the Lilywhites.

North End have had an identical start to the Royals in the Championship this season, with a single victory, draw and defeat to their names.

They go into Saturday's match off the back of their first loss of the season, though, with former on-loan Royal, Matěj Vydra, netting a penalty as Derby County sealed a 1-0 victory at Pride Park.

Supporters' Trust at Reading (STAR) offer travel to all away games, details of which can be found by following the link here.

Away supporters are housed in the Bill Shankly Stand at Deepdale, and the stadium is located approximately two miles away from Preston Train Station.

Supporters travelling by car can exit at junction 31 of the M6, follow the A59 for one mile before taking the second exit off the mini roundabout adjacent to the Hesketh Arms pub (SP A583, Football Ground). Follow the road for a further mile, through four sets of traffic lights, before turning left onto Parkside for Deepdale.

Championship title sponsors Sky Bet make the Royals 23/10 to win Saturday's encounter at Deepdale, with the hosts shorter priced at 23/20. You can get odds of 23/10 for the spoils to be shared on the day.

Mo Barrow opened his goalscoring account for the Royals on Tuesday night, and he is 9/4 to score any time on Saturday. Royals haven't scored a goal in the first half yet this season, but they are 8/1 to break that run and score inside the first 10 minutes at Deepdale.

Andrew Madley will be the man in the middle in charge of proceedings on Saturday at Deepdale. His last match refereeing the Royals came back in March at Madejski Stadium, a Paul McShane winner giving Jaap Stam's side a 2-1 victory on the day.

Madley last officiated Preston in April, a 4-1 defeat against Newcastle United that saw Paul Gallagher sent off for handling on the line, with the Magpies sealing promotion straight back to the Premier League.

Madley will be assisted by James Wilson and Robert Merchant, with Richard Clark between the dugouts as fourth official.
