Reading will host newly-promoted Championship outfit Millwall in the second round of the Carabao Cup at Madejski Stadium.
The draw was made live on Sky Sports News following the conclusion of Bury's home tie against Sunderland on Thursday evening, which settled all the winners and losers of the first-round ties.
The Lions sealed their spot in the next round in a similar manner to Reading. Goalless at the break, a Tom Elliott double in the second half against Stevenage sewed things up.
Meanwhile the Royals earned a place at this stage win a first win of the season at home against Gillingham - Liam Kelly's stunning double was enough to earn victory.
Last season, Reading made decent headway in the competition by getting to round four; ultimately it was Arsenal who ended our run with a 2-0 win at the Emirates.
All ties are scheduled to take place in the week commencing 21st August.
Ticket information will follow in due course.
