The draw for the third round of the Carabao Cup will take place in Beijing, China on Thursday 24th August 2017 at approximately 11.25am local time… which is 4.25am in the UK!
If you’re willing to wait up that late – or get up that early – then get the Carabao cans in and see who we’re paired against in the final 32 of the competition!
The draw will be taking place via the @Carabao_Cup Twitter feed – that’s the best place to follow it as it happens. A total of 32 clubs are involved in the third round, with the seven Premier League sides who qualified for UEFA European competitions entering the draw, including last season’s winners Manchester United and our adversaries from last year against Arsenal.
The round three draw is unseeded, with the first ball drawn as the home club, followed by an away club. This is repeated until there are sixteen ties, which will played week commencing 18th September 2017.
As of Wednesday daytime, there are still six fixtures due to take place. Here are all of the potential opponents which we could face, home or away…
- Aston Villa
- Bolton Wanderers
- Bristol City
- Bristol Rovers
- Crystal Palace
- West Brom
- Cheltenham/West Ham
- Newcastle/Nottingham Forest
- Man City
- Man Utd
