John Swift says he and his Reading team-mates are expecting another tough match at Madejski Stadium on Tuesday night, with Aston Villa the visitors in the Championship.
With Fulham having defender Tomas Kalas sent off early on in Saturday's 1-1 draw, Swift says there will be more of a battle for possession against Steve Bruce's side.
Villa come into the midweek game off the back of a disappointing 3-0 defeat against Cardiff City at the weekend, with perhaps a point to prove after that performance.
"Fulham had 10 men for the whole game so we can't go into it thinking every game is going to be like that. Every game is going to be tough," Swift said.
"To go into Villa off a good performance will give us confidence, but obviously we know that it's not going to be as easy to have the ball and keep the ball as it was against Fulham.
Looking ahead to the challenges the Villans will present, Swift added: "I think it'll be good, you look forward to every game. You want to play as many games as possible, obviously it'll be another big challenge.
"They've got great players, a great team, I'm sure all the boys will be disappointed after the Fulham game but looking forward to the Villa game."
Kick-off at Madejski Stadium will be at 8pm on Tuesday night, and tickets are still available for the match. Follow the link below for details!
