Despite a disappointing defeat on Saturday, the Championship is no place to rest on your laurels as the Royals are back in action on Boxing Day against high-flying Bristol City.

Lee Johnson's side are in fine fettle, having overcome four Premier League sides in the Carabao Cup already this season, most recently a last-gasp win against Jose Mourinho's Manchester United last week.

They're also sitting pretty in the Championship table, being among the play-off places for the majority of the campaign to date.

Having also taken a 1-0 win at Madejski Stadium back in September, the home side are set to be favourites against a Royals side looking to find their form once again.

With a packed festive schedule ahead, Reading will be hoping for a repeat of last year's exploits at Ashton Gate, with all three points returning to Berkshire on the day.
